Ricky Hendrick Charity ride
« on: April 18, 2005, 07:19:33 AM »

Rode in the first annual Ricky Hendrick charity ride in Charlotte yesterday.
I have heard estimates that there was 3000 bikes there. (count from TV station)

So what did I do?
I went around looking for CVO bikes. (before the ride and after)
I found 7 CVO's
Left notes on the bikes for more information about their bikes to check the FLHSEI.org
or CVOHarley.com address.

Am I eat up with this or what?

Only, seven?  If you look at the the mileage on used CVO's most are what I would consider low mileage.  There are at least 10-12 CVO's in my small Central WA burg and I've yet to see another one on the road.

Maybe we should get a card printed up with a logo and the web address.  I've given the site address out to several SEEG owners at the local dealer who have asked me about my bike.

DDL
Actually 9 bikes counting mine and the bud that rode with me.

I agree bout the cards.
Maybe Naitram can have some done and bring them to the rally.
I would contribute 50 buckeroos to that project.
Cards would give us more credibility.

Whatcha say Naitram?

103T

That would work.
I'm just not sure how to get that picture from here to a company that can produce the cards. That's what I'm really asking Naitram's help for. I build houses, my world is concrete, wood, sheetrock , hispanic labor and rednecks. I don't know how to make the cards happen.

I just know it's important to me to spread the news!

Here is one option, Chip.  You will be able to print your own.

and here is another if that is a bit complicated.

Chip, hover over the image of the card and right mouse click.  Then do a "save as" to a floppy and take the disk to a printer and a couple days later you'll have cards.  I used Pip Printing, but they may be local.  It was like, $35 for 100 cards.  I'll have mine in the Valley, too. Guess what?
I figured it out!

Having a 1000 cards  made up. Will bring to the rally!
Gotta get "Tater" some so he can keep a picture of a CVO in his wallet!

Thanks 103T for the help! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Printed up 50 cards this weekend, used the image on the promotions thread and printed in Word on some card stock that I had left over from another project and used the old color ink jet.  They came out great (although it took me a couple of tries) and cost virtually nothing.
