Fly 'n Ride out of Orlando last week
« on: February 26, 2008, 04:30:48 AM »

We took an Ultra and a Classic out of Orlando for 650 miles in 2 days Feb 20,21.
Built rides on HD mapping site.
1st day 192 to Holopaw then south to Okeechobee, east to Fort Pierce to meet relative for lunch at the marina Tiki Hut. North on A1A to Melbourne Beach and back in to Kissimmee on 192. 300 miles, great weather and light traffic.
2nd day 192 east, north on Vineland to Eustice, through Ocala National Forest around Lake George and back to De Land. Then over to New Smyrna to National Seashore. Back off island and south down 1 to the north entrance of Merritt Island- Kennedy- which is open if no shuttle date- has no traffic and is a great 20 mile drive. Took King Ave out of Cocoa and a great road, Nova, which angles back to Kissimmee and is beautiful with no traffic. 370 miles about half in the rain, which was great with raingear and no Interstates.
These were both very nice light traffic rides which is preferable since we're from Montana where we only have 274 cages and 6 motorcycles in the whole state.
Here we are at Okeechobee. I'm kneeling.

I posted the "Orlando..." maps on the thread "GPS Routes !!Maps Only!!"

Great use of the fly and ride advantage we have.  Looks like even though it was a tad windy, everyone is having fun.  And that is what it is all about.  Glad you had a good time.
