A great ride today in Virginia
« on: November 07, 2008, 09:57:18 PM »

The colors are spectacular in the Shenandoah Valley today. I took off work a few hours early, grabbed the digital camera and took off in the mountains to enjoy the scenery. Lots of fun dipping deep in the curves and accelerating hard out of the turns. The torque almost makes you feel weightless. Found one nice big yellow tree with a mat of leaves on the ground. Parked the bike under that tree and got some good shots. Also found a red tree and an orange/yellow tree and got some good pictures under them. What a great handling bike this is. As an aside I went the the dealer last week and he had the Sundowner seat in stock. We sat it on the bike and while not near as sporty looking as the stock seat, this thing looks very nice on the SE. Every third Friday they give 20% off so I will pick the seat up and I will send it off to Mean City Cycles to have it "slender-ed" slightly for just a touch more sportiness. Sure wish there was more conversation on this forum but I guess many are done for the year. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
