Six day trip from Phoenix Arizona area, 2300 miles, California route 49 and the northern sections of 395 are great roads.

Great pics, having lived at Lake Tahoe for a few years , they bring back fond memories.  For clarification the Lake Tahoe pic is of  Emerald Bay , arguably the most scenic part.  There is a nice trail down to it ,and a place called Vikingsholm at the bottom, worth the hike.
