Help with CVO Ultra ignition lock
« on: March 17, 2019, 02:10:29 PM »

OK I did it this time! I removed my ignition lock on my '13 CVO Ultra. I found out the green and blue wire coming up through the
hole was for locking the ignition with the key fob. The wire had broken from the attach point under the lock. No wonder that feature
hadn't worked in some time... Any way I am trying to re-solder the wire and in doing so I removed the tumbler and all the springs and barrels fell out of the lock. Any one  have a way to put them back in correctly?  :-X

It's been discussed before.  Try this thread:

Well I took it to 2 dealerships and they both said I was screwed. I went and ordered the ignition lock mechanism with the new wire included. The wire locks the ignition lock by the key fob. The CVO ign lock version, which is bigger than a normal one, set me back $500 . Bet I won't take the guts out of another one..lol. The supplement manual shows the parts breakdown but not the guts in the lock itself.  :(
O well live and learn right?  Sorry for the lack of pics. I have the worst time uploading pics on this sight.
Thanks for the help...
