07 CVO's delayed???

Just got a call from my local dealer.  He says he just recieved word from HD that the first 07 CVO's will not ship until October.  

Anyone else hear this?

Well, one Gent is getting his SE ULTRA TODAY, and mine is in route from PA as I type, as it was loaded on the truck out there last Friday, July 21, so I think your Dealer is feeding you a pile of DOO-DOO!?!?!?   :)

Don't think that October is correct on the CVO's.  Spoke to my son (Sales Mgr at HD Shop) and he has 2 Friday, 5 next week and several scheduled for the week after.  I didn't ask if they were shipping priority to high volume dealerships, but your local shop may not have the numbers from last year to accomodate early orders.

The more I think about it, the more I think he's pulling my leg!  Especially since my best friend is 2nd on the list for an Ultra.  I'm thinking he got the sales manager to call me and feed me this crap!  My buddy!  Pay backs are hell!

Hello BLM777....only for curiosity since both of us live in Florida.....in what dealer works your son? I have purchased bikes in Leesburg, Fort Walton Bach and Lakeland as well.....

That one still kills me, it may have been the CVO "leg pull" of the year.  You haven't tipped over when stopping have you?  Only correctable with surgery I hear.

I do know that the CVO SERK's that were first maked with a July ship date are now changed to September.  Something is going on. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

So what is going on then?  Initial early released production allowed a few to get out that showed some problem or problems that are now then leading to delays of further production?  True or not we don't know (yet).  If so, however, you'd be able to say one thing positive about Harley's efforts here.  They are indeed consistent.....

Crytsal River & Leesburg ...one is parent company of the another one, right? My salesman was Jeremy Koon...good guy!!. I got my VROD -SE there during the Fla State Rally in Novemeber '04
