Highway Bar on FXR

Was really ambivalent about doing this.  More than a little concerned I'd hate the look.  Turns out (fortunately) I don't.

As have been riding this bike more and more found myself regularly looking for another place to put my feet and stretch my legs after 60-90 minutes.  Especially with the floorboards and the Corbin it's a comfortable ride.  Extra position would be nice though.  But I knew I loved the look of the bike without a crash bar (even though a front guard is a good idea).

After the last three hour ride finally decided to try it.  This went on surprisingly easily.  Fit very well without having to force or even persuade anything to get it lined up.  Was also concerned having it all go together with the floorboards might complicate things.  Again, nope.  Nice simple install.  So, for the one other FXR person here who I'd been talking to about this and because I don't need much of an excuse to post bike pics here is the FXR with it's new highway bar.  It really is a look I a little surprisingly don't hate and find myself getting used to quickly.

Ok, that's all.  I'm glad it was a relatively narrow highway bar.  Something significantly wider would have been fugly and out of proportion.  This (to me) doesn't suck.  And in the function over form side of the equation having an extra couple of places to put feet will be nice.
