Does anyone know if the breather valve assemblies that come with the stock cam service kit work oh me 04SEEG Heads?

Since you’ve got it opened up, do yourself a favor and put some Rocker Lockers in.  I used Rockout Brand $15 on eBay, John is a great guy and you’ll get o-rings plus an extra sleeve with his kit.

What are these Rocker lockers you speak of?

SIKBIRD:
Basically they are brass sleeves designed to keep your rocker arms from moving on the rocker plate bolts.  They will quiet down that top end ticking.  Tons of youtube videos on them.  I wouldn’t tear into the top end just to install them but if I were already in there, I wouldn’t put it back together without them.  They really worked for me and got rid of that annoying tick.

And while the helpful hints are flowing...torquing the rear bolts on the rear cylinder is a real beyotch so I took an old 7/16 socket and ground it down to where just the head of the bolt sat in it to give me room to get my torque wrench in there.  My grind isn’t perfectly level but you get the idea.
