2013 SERGX and rear suspension
« on: November 26, 2012, 12:01:30 PM »

I need someone to school me on any changes in the 2013 rear suspension and axle interaction.

I had a flat tire and was going to remove the axle and take the wheel to the shop to pull the tire and be sure there was no damage to the inner sidewall.  As I went to remove the axle, I got a hissing sound as though air or gas was escaping.  Don't know what to think?  The suspension on the SE is a hydraulic shock, supposedly one is dampening and is adjustable (left) and the other is fixed rebound.  I can see nothing that makes me think the axle is in any way tied into the system and the SE supplement makes zero reference to the rear axle as being any different than on my 2011 RGU that I've torn apart at least ten times.

Is this just a oddity, or is the axle sealed somehow?

I tightened right back up with out breaking it completely loose.  The ride quality feels affected, but that may just be psychosomatic.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks....Shawn
