Newbie from Cleveland OH
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:44:21 PM »

Hi all,

I find this site awesome and have been lurking around for 6 months now. Finally getting around to introducing myself. My name is Andy, and I'm 50YOA; been riding bikes since I was 12. Had some lean years without a bike raising kids and building my business. On a HD since 1995 when I purchased a Black & Yellow Bad Boy softail. Moved up to a Heritage Classic and then to a SE ultra in 2006. When I saw the new B/O Jester and 6 speed I traded in my bike last August after 7,000 miles and 9 months.

I'm a lucky guy and my wife and two daughters love to ride. My oldest daughter started riding last summer and has a  Honda Shadow 600 as a starter bike. My wife and other daughter is going to get her license this summer also, maybe a Sportster is on the horizon for them.

I ride as much as I can in the Cleveland, OH weather and get in about 10K miles per year. Three of my buddies and I  drag down the ladies to Key West each winter for a week and we try to do a HD sponsored ride or two per year; plus all of the local chapter rides.

I have been reading all of the posts and just learning  all of the tricks of setting up my bike. Off to Daytona and then to Key West next Friday.

Welcome aboard Andy, I think, since you've been here longer than me. 62 posts isn't exactly lurking. Have you been here awhile or are you using someone's handle? Either way, glad you intro'd yourself. Hanging around here, you must have that B/O looking pretty sweet by now. You also know that we'd love to see some pics! Enjoy the site! ;) Hoist! 8)

Thanks Hoist,

I was riding the scoot  all fall and into winter just after News Year Day when the bad weather arrived.  I ordered the Thunder Max and auto tuner from Zippers today and am considering exhaust in another post. Have severe OCD and will post pictures once the bike is out in the sun, maybe from Key West on a couple of weeks. By the way "CERDO' is Spanish for hog/pig and is on my license plate.

Welcome Andy;

Dug out of the snow yet? Where'd you get your Jester? S/E? Once you get back and the weather breaks we'll have to hook up. Maybe the Support the Troops ride?? About the same life situation here 'cept I jumped into the CVO in '05. Have a great warm trip.  :cherry:

 :orange: Cerdo, Welcome to our site. It's good to see/ hear  a fellow biker from Ohio. Someone that can share the frustraions with regarding  the Ohio weather.  I'm a newer member my self having lurked around a few months I finaly joined last summer sometime.  I have a 2003 SERK and have learned quicky how to spend  money upgrading my bike. I  just recieved my Rinehart True Duals with the performance baffels, Zippers 575 Cams and Dynojet Power Comander. I have a back order on the Feuler oil pump, Feuler Cam  support plate, Feuler lifters and Feuler pushrods and S&S Gear Drive Instal Kit.  Last Summer I bought a Matching Tour pack and Corbin Seat from Big Brian aka" Spiderman", A long time site member and all around good guy.  All this while I told my wife the reason I wanted to sell my 2000 Dyna Wide Glide , and buy this Harley Custom was  I wanted a custome Bike that had everthing all ready tricked out on it. Does It ever end?  Any way I live near Akron and my wife and would like to catch up and meet you and your family some time during this summer rallys.  Have a great time in Datona...
