So here is my plan just wat to give it a try ,  woods tw9bg cam , woods springs ,

the travel limiters are .112 all of them measure out at this
woods lifters , .200 travel , i cleaned and put limiters in.

so on the adjustment i was thinking of going .065 from top 8 flats on my pushrods they are 20 tpi,  new quick install from pushrods.net (same ones fueling sells)

so this gives me .023 or so under the plunger and .065 below the clip ,

does this sound ok or am i just being stupid i know i can go .130 or so without the limiters , but i just wanted to give it a try with woods lifters , but i dont want it to be noisey as hell , welcome all thoughts

It will work fine assuming you have reasonable spring pressure and the cam ramps are not like jackhammers. The cylinder growth is about .020 net after the growth of the steel pushrod is added in. Other nearly never mentioned factor is lifter to bore fit. Check it! You are a picky guy and this is a detail that makes a difference.

The bore was .844 ,  the spring is set at 170 seat woods springs bud 160 springs set a little more
So I could just go .050 down but was told to adjust from bottom then back off one flat ,

You can try it a flat off the bottom. The whole limited travel concept I am not a fan. It was a come-on back in the day when guys were reluctant to add compression releases. Your all done by 6200 so no biggee you aren't going to float valves there even at the middle without limiters.

Well I’m chickening out and just going lifter .120 or .130 down no limiters , just not enough area and I don’t want noises , plus it’s woods tw9bg cams and seat at about 170 or 180 ,
So prob just
Sell the limiters and the Hylift/Johnson lifters the s2313se ones

The reason I don't run Woods cams is they are very noisy.

Go one more step, the high lift causes the need for a much reduced base circle. That combined with fast lift rates result in high side thrust on the lifters when the valves are opened.
