Another trailer for the SEUC4
« on: October 24, 2008, 04:54:16 PM »

Picked this up today.
It's an N-line trailer.
www.N-line.com
Was painted for an 04 Pumkin but now will see better days.
Talked with the painter today and will take everything apart this weekend and take it to him Tuesday.
He said about two weeks and he will have it matching my SEUC4.
N-line is working on a hitch to fit the 09's and I should have that in a few weeks also.
Should wrap this up in about a month and try it out soon after that.

You going to add a fuel bladder so you don't have to fill up with that low octane stuff (93) at a pump on those longer rides at MV?

Since the S/E's do not have bumpers front or rear I have asked
N-line to send me a primered hitch so we can paint it to match the titanium silver.
It's bad enough to have the hitch there to start with, but color matching the hitch to the bike I thought would be better than the chrome hitch showing.
Any thoughts?

You might be on to something there, Chip.  Depending on how that hitch fits your bike......you might want to consider the piece that's on a Street Glide.  Or, Kuryaken just came out with something kind of similar (for those with no bumper on the back) that's chrome and has lights in it.  Little thinner profile than the Street Glide piece.

Of course you could paint either of those to match, too.

By the way, you might want to buy a little extra paint and sit on it.  I hear after the first of the year they've got to go to that water base EBA paint . (Or is that only in Calif, too?)

Atta boy Chip. Can't wait to see the finished product. Is your hitch going to be permanent or something you can remove?

JC

Here is a picture of the hitch.
As chromey (a dOOd word) as it is I thought a painted one wouldn't stand out as much on the SEUC4.
This one I will put on the 03 Classic so it can also use the trailer.
The 03 silver will not match the 09 silver on the trailer but the hitch was part of the deal and I might as well use it.

Put the hitch inside the trailer so it would show better.

Jim the insert can be removed but the hitch will be permanent.
That's why the SEUC4 will have the hitch color matched.

Here's how the trailer connects to the hitch.

The n-line is a great looking trailer!   :2vrolijk_21:   Can't wait to see the new paint!

Chip, unless N-Line does something for the 09s radically different than they've done for prior models hiding the hitch behind any trim or cladding won't be an option.  Their horizontal receiver takes that hitch and u-joint system straight out the rear.  At least for the prior year model bikes it's a pretty good sized piece too.
