Wow! What a story! Has your husband rode any kind of motorcycle before or is this his first? Rider safety course is a great class but I felt like I was on a mini bike compared to the Roadking I owned at the time. Hubby needs to take his time and get a good feel for his new scooter and all that power he's got so he don't get himself in trouble. Enjoy and God Bless! :2vrolijk_21:

Don't fight the feeling, just plan on taking the rider course yourself also because you have been bitten by the bug. happened to my wife 5 yrs ago.
So, did he get the gloves or not. lol
Welcome from Tennesssee

Yes! And somehow we walked out with a helmet, boots, and a leather jacket too!

So after a 6 month period of hinting that he would like to learn how to ride a motorcycle, and checking out the HD website a LOT, I got the bright idea to get my husband (gxm82) motorcycle riding lessons at Harley for his Christmas gift. I was sooo proud of myself, thinking I had the perfect gift for him, until I set foot in the dealership.  Though my intent was to buy riding gloves to wrap up with the gift card for the Rider's Edge course, fate put me directly in front of the most beautiful bike I had ever seen.  The FXTSSE3 CVO Springer Softail in Green flames (my husbands fav color!)...
I looked at the sales guy and told him I needed that bike, but he just shook his head and said "that's what everyone says. great looking bike isn't it?"  Now I should have known better, being a 25 year old female who was buying a pair of gloves only, and seeing as I didn't ask about the persormance at all, but I saw the screamin' eagle pipes, and the perfect paint job, and I was sold. So I took the salesman's card and called him back about making a deal. You have no idea how suprised he was to hear from me!  ::) I workout the sale price and printed out a paper to wrap up for Christmas saying that we had to go to the dealership for accessories for the riding class... but hubby saw the excitement in my eyes and said "did you buy a bike!?" and I asked if he wanted to see a photo online. He was floored when he saw the 2009 CVO Softail Springer! He assumed I picked out a used or a less expensive model... but nothing is too good for my husband!  :-* We signed the papers on Dec 26th and riding classes start in March. Wish him good weather, cuz we're in Wisconsin!!! Maybe I'll learn next!

Just read that story - and I am amazed - no I am in love!

Your husband is one b###dy lucky guy. Is there anything I can say that would make you divorce him and marry me???? LOL!

On second thoughts - what are you like when you shop for yourself!!!!!........I couldn't afford you!!!

So, can I settle for you giving my wife some lessons, there are so many bikes I want to buy.

Let us know how he gets on in March
Oh and by the way - post some pictures...........of yourself!
