Hello from the Rio Grande Valley and been reading this site ever since I put in my order for the new bike. We are from Central Illinois and I have been riding motorcycles since the age of around 8, which means I have been riding something with 2 wheels and a motor under me now for almost 50 years.
The new bike is in back home at the dealership and cannot wait to head back north as soon as the weather warms up a bit. We have been riding all winter down here in the valley and have had some really nice weather. We also went up to the Lone Star Motorcycle Rally at Galveston back the first week in November.
Thanks to everyone that contributes to this great site and for all the good information. I have been riding my 04 Heritage ever since it came in back in Oct of 2004 and the BSR is ready for more comfort on those long rides. Again "Thank You" all for the information here and look forward to reading more of the good and bad on this new scoot I/we are going to soon be riding!
Oh yes the new one is still in the box and a friend of mine works for the dealership says it is well protected with "OUR" names all over the box!!
I will post pictures when we get back home sometime mid-April.

Thank You all so far for the welcome aboard here and yes the BSR is sure planning on a much nicer ride than on the 04 Heritage and probably will need to change out those baffles since she has been so into hearing those Vance & Hines!! Of course of I have all kind of ideas thanks to you all here on what I want to change!!

Hey Ole Heritage - Rio Grande Valley can reference a lot of places along the Rio Grande. Are you in Colorado, New Mexico or Texas.
I'm in Albuquerque, NM and all those places are in striking distance. If you're in Texas, we could meet around El Paso and get together with HarleyMan.

We are in the Rio Grande Valley near the border between Harlingen and McAllen, Texas. We would like to plan a ride up to the hill country here in Texas sometime mid-March. Just so glad we are not back in Illinois with the weather they have coming in this week.

Thank you for the welcome from Florida, we plan on spending next winter further south in Florida. Hopefully we will be around the LaBelle, Florida area which will make for some good riding that far south we hope.
Cannot wait to get home and ride the new scoot from the dealer to home. We go through the city where it is and the wife will drive the motorcoach and pull the Jeep home and me, I plan on riding home from there.....yippee!

I am also new to this site, and also an owner of the same bike, a 2011 FLHTCUSE. The bike is still sitting at the dealer with 0 miles waiting for some warmer weather. This is my second CVO, and 7th Harley. I looked at most of the press releases and anouncments when Harley came out with this bike. Everything I read said that this was a limited run of 1,500 bikes. There is even a video of a Harley CVO employee saying that that was all that would be made, and "when there gone that's it". As we all know, the resale value of any Harley has been in the tank the last few years, and my thought, along with my dealer, was that with only 1,500 bikes, it would help with future resale of the bike. As of this week, Harley is doing another 1,500 in a different color. They have also taken their posting off the web that states this bike was a limited production of 1,500. Why do I feel that after spending about 40m on this bike, I was mislead. I called customer service and the person I spoke to said " I understand your frustration, and we'll have a manager call you". Still have not heard anything from them. For me the credibility of "Limited Production" and Harley now don't mean anything. --jay--

Look at it this way you have one out only 1500 in this color (and if i may say it is the best ) with only 1500 bikes whats the odds if you show up for a porker Ride that there be more then one there, I know in my area we have 4 HD dealers witch only got one each, I know of two bike left the area so i'm thinking i'm not going to be parking next to one just like yours. Ride Safe but ride fast
