FLHTCUSE Battery tray hold down
« on: September 07, 2011, 08:47:46 PM »

Hello
I am having trouble getting the the battery caddy (top tray) to release from hold down.
Book says to release it, and fold the tray out of the way.  Apparently I don't get it.  I am getting close to breaking it.  So I am cooling off and asking for help.
It can't be that tuff I think that I am just going about it wrong.

It's not as easy as it may seem, there is an aluminum tab at leading edge of tray, push tray down and forward at tab, be patient and it will release.

I got it..!....I had to move some wires that were keeping the tray from moving far enough forward.
Thanks Motor1
