Bike won't start
« on: July 09, 2012, 11:11:28 PM »

I just installer a complete audio system, amp speakers, nim, Garmin and a few other small items. After pulling the main fuse and doing all the work I have reassembled the bike, tested everything to make sure it worked, all seemed fine. After I put back everything back in place I now find the alarm come on, flashing lights, no audible. Clears and then the bike sems ready to start, turn to ignition on throw the rocker switch on the start the fuel pump (bike in neutral) and press the start button, nothing. Fuel pump works, all lights and gauges work, just will not start.

Any ideas?

Well I have this large drawer in my tool box that I use for hammers, I plan on taking the big one and tapping myself in the forehead... After all these years my 2003 springer still does not need a battery in the fob.. But yes, the 09 CVO did need one. Are you kidding me.. Well I purchased two and put the extra one promptly in my saddle bag, I know I will be thanking myself later.

Thank you for suggesting to look at that, I have an uncanny perpencity for overlooking the obvious. I really appreciate it, the bike is running fine, will be tearing it up this Friday afternoon. It has been a long time coming.

Thank you again. Tom.
