Here are a couple of links to 2 You Tube videos I got this afternoon.
Maybe they will give you guys some idea as to how the V & H 2 into 1 exhaust sounds on a Breakout.

Please forgive the quality of the videos. They were done on my iPad by someone that had never done this before.

I have a Power Vision tuner.
I got an improved tune map from Dyno Jet before I got the new exhaust.
Thanks to Z06 I figured out how to use the Auto Tune function of the Power Vision.

So I took the map that was in the bike and adjusted it for the installation of the new exhaust.

It runs really well and the deceleration popping I had at first is now gone.
I can tell a seat of the pants improvement with the new exhaust.

As far as installation problems, nothing big at all.
Behind the muffler is a chrome cover that covers a nut. I had to remove this cover because it was against the muffler.
It was for looks only, totally hidden behind the muffler.
I think one guy here installed the same pipes and didn't have to remove this cover. Maybe the bend in his pipes were slightly different than the ones I got.??
The exhaust I have are V & H #28019 for a 2013 Soft Tail. I'm not sure why V & H says they won't fit a Breakout.
I know some have used the ones for the Rocker. I think the difference there is they have a different size oxy sensor bung. You can get adapters so you can use your stock sensors.

I am slowly getting use to the sound.
I am a older guy and have out grown the need/like of loud exhaust. At first I felt that they were too loud for me.
Not that they are really loud or anything, just a little louder than I had expected.

The move I ride the bike, the better I like the sound. I guess they are growing on me.
No, I would not want the to be any louder though.
At cruise, say 1800 to 2000 rpm, they aren't loud at all.

Pipes look really good     Don't for get your testing sound on a empty street and of course when you start

the bike your not moving,So it's always louder      I have V&H Big Shot Staggerred on my CVO fatboy

I love taking a sweeping right turn with a metal guardrail alongside the road.  I have several of these sections on my routes, and when you lean into the turn and get on it at the apex, the exhaust sound reverberates off the metal guard rail and makes a wicked sound

I can't get enough of my Breakout sounding like a big ole' HD V-twin should.....

Wow...they sound very nice.  It appears to be a nice, low rumble! Good choice...
