Why would they put in the 110 only air cooled?
They wouldn't. no way they build the new 110 w/o water cooled heads.

I never bought into the 'tooling' causing HD to not have a RG in the lineup. No way any company would allow tooling to stop them from offering a model that constitutes 9% of their total volume, especially in the high end of their price range. It really isn't that difficult/expensive/time consuming to create the tooling for the fairing. They used two models in 2014 to test the new water cooled engine where they could minimize the required changes to the lower fairing. It makes a lot of sense to hold back the RG, since because of the fixed fairing they can accommodate the cooling system in the fairing for both the custom (no lower fairing) and the ultra once they learn all they can from the bikes released this year with the new engine.

At least that's what I've heard/am hoping for. :)

If it was "tooling" issue for the RG then I would think it would effect the availability of replacement fairings.

Bingo.  And they can crank out that tooling in short order - especially in China where the moco likes to shop.

I don't buy the fairing retooling reason either.
If that were the case how did they retool the batwing for the new venting system without missing a year. I would also think they would have had a heavy production year for the cvo Street glide with the Road Glide pulled from the line up.
I'm hoping for a 120 twin cooled for all 2015 cvo's
I think the moco is going to leave the flhx air cooled with the cvo flhx getting a 120 twin cooled (because of the included lowers) and go twin cooled with all road glide models with the radiators in the shark fin. I'm thinking complete road glide retooling for its year off not just the fairing.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

Most road glider's I know would not buy a Street Glide.  I seriously doubt I would buy a street glide, while I love the looks of a bat wing, I hate sitting on them.  Fairing is too in my face, to close.  I also do not like the way they feel with wind on them or passing 18 wheelers.  I much prefer my Road Glides or even my Road King

This is why I love the street glide. To each his own. We all love to ride! Rubber side down!

Agree.  My wife is on her Second Street Glide and just loves it.  I hate it.  She hates my road glide, me its the best bike Harley makes.

We both like the Road King
