Title: Need some input on chrome to black 04 SEEG
Post by: Markeje on January 04, 2016, 01:54:20 PM
OK so some of you know I am doing this with my 04 SEEG. Got her tore down most of the way. Still need to take front forks down and disassemble them for powder coat.
The problem is the controls. Specifically the Hydraulic clutch reservoir and the brake reservoir. I am thinking these can have the guts removed and then I should be able to PC them. Then rebuild them. Yes? Is this the best way?

The other issue is the controls. Am I right in thinking that in order to disassemble them, all the of the individual buttons will have to be unplugged from the source and pulled back up through the bars?...which I am wanting to replace the stock bars with 2" rise bars anyhow.

IMO, Sumax, in New York has more experience than most shops powder coating Harley parts. Give them a call, and I'm sure they'll be able to set you straight.
Switches, etc. must come out of the housings.
