I have an '09 SERG with the pre-J&M 7.25" speakers with their fairing sound insulation.  I rode this way for about 4 years and then in '15 I bought the J&M bolt-in 2-channel amp.  I think it was their 300 amp.

The speakers alone made a BIG difference, but if I kicked up the bass, it would distort.  Once I added the amp, I can run at full bass without any distortion.

On the cheap, it was a great upgrade.  Some on here do not like the J&M products, but I would recommend it for sure.

'Have the J&M / ICA (with speakers in vented lowers) in the '09 SERG for around 45k miles so far, Sounds Great,,, no issues, or related issues with ICA or J&M...

A hint when using the J&M "Sound Foam"; install speakers / amp, then install foam per directions on the outer fairing, line up then press the outer fairing onto the inner firm enough to make indentions from the speakers into the foam, then pull the fairing and use a razor knife to remove the foam (crescent shaped) where the speaker magnets contact the foam,,, otherwise the RG Fairing will be a real bear to install...

I had the XX Rokker Extreme on my 14. Loved it. Life time warranty is awsome too. I would say also give Soundz a look too.

I did look at Soundz . there sony deck looks cool [ the hand controls still work ] I wonder if its water proof ?
also see the focal may not be as water proof as the J&M XXR but not sure what you guys think ?
this is important to me as I seem to drive in the rain lots  :'( and pressure wash lots when on the road

I have talked to Mike at Biketronics a couple of times about upgrading the audio on my 2015 Streetglide.

He seems very knowledgeable and discussed a number of options.

If you haven't pulled the the trigger, I would say it is worth a call.

Nothing jm has can compare what soundz does. . Soundz
is high end.  With Focal speakers and arc audio amps...jm can't even come close.  Jm has its place if you don't want to spend the big bucks for audio. . Most people that have heard both will tell you the same thing. . Stuart.

cvostu is spot on. BTW, I've run the focals on my 13 through a few rain storms with no issues. I wouldn't hit them with a garden hose though!
