Title: Adding a oil temperature guage
Post by: skunk2012 on March 19, 2017, 10:16:05 AM
Has anyone added a oil temp gauge. I am taking out my tweeters in my fairing and want to install gauges. I have carbon fiber face style face plates but Harley only has white, black,or silver. Anything aftermarket that is similar to factory face .I want to buy the factory kit and change face plates

I added an oil temp gauge and an air gauge to replace my tweeters.  I ended up going with the titanium faced gauges.  replaced the bulbs with red.  can not tell the difference at night, barely tell the difference during the day.  If you want them to match, you will have to change all the gauges, unless i am mistaken.

'On the '09, I went with the Red Dakota Digital Oil Temp & Oil Pressure Gauges,

'Wanted an accurate reading at a glance,,, (got tired of trying to figure out the gradients on the OE Oil Pressure Gauge  :'( ) The Red matches up well with OE at night,,, Looks fine to me,,, Very Accurate, Easy Install...I like 'em :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21:

On my 12 Roadglide I went with the Dakota Digital multi-gauge that displays 2 items. You can choose from oil temp, oil pressure, fuel level (did not hook that up) and volts. I replaced the voltmeter with it, fits and works perfect. I display oil temp and pressure.

Contact gaugemods.com. I believe they can match your new gauges to what you have already.
