I didn't see a specific place on the forum for this...
I have had a few windshields on my CVOSG thus far. With different size helmets, I get different results. Does the Klockwerks add the stability they claim and is the "flip" better than others?
I am 5'11" and have an 8'' shield now. I also have a solo Corbin which raises me slightly. My 1/2 shells are great but the Harley/HJC full face with the rise in the middle for the sunshield buffets badly.
Someone tell me again why HD is the only manufacturer with out adjustable windshields...geeeez.

I just installed a Klock werks on mine after 55,000 mi with the stock windshield. I only have a few hundred miles on the new shield. I have not dealt with any rain and the bugs are not out yet. I also wear a full face modular helmet. I do 99% of my riding 2 up so I don't push the speed envelope too far. Saying all of that, I do like how it works and I have positioned my free hand in different areas to see where the air is being directed. As advertised it is up and over both rider and passenger and the little side areas move the air over the top creating downforce. I give it a thumbs up so far. The only thing I don't like is you remove the factory seal at the bottom of the windshield and it leaves a small gap. I did also purchase the klock werks mounting kit (well nuts) that are a little thicker than OEM. It is definitely better looking than stock however I really liked the overall performance of the stock shield under all of the different weather conditions encountered on the road. I need some more miles to give it the better than stock rating. I will catch back up with the thread after logging some miles.

Thank you Sprintkid. I assume by your pic you are on a Road Glide. I am on a SG but the overall workings must be similar.

I have the 8.5 Klockwerks on my SESG and its perfect for me, I'm 6' with the stock seat, I really cant tell about the stability, it seems no different from the stock windshield, I changed it because of the buffeting of the stock screen, I love the look of the stock unit, just cant handle the buffeting, and the Klockwerks is the closest looking to the stock windshield.

I have a 2015 SESG, I have been doing this dance with windshields for 30,000 miles. The stock for me wasn't worth a crap. I tried the 10 inch windsplitter and it wasn't bad. Tried the klockworks 8.5 inch and it was just a tad to short. I have also changed from stock seat to hammock, which raises you up. I am 6ft tall. I tried the klockworks 11 inch was too tall and they don't make a in between. Additionally klockworks made a narrow wind pocket for me and passenger. Meaning move your head just the slightest left or right and you get hit with wind. I have tried several other brands in my search settling on Long Ride Shields 10 inch. The LRS 11 inch was too tall. I say settling because I sacrificed sport and style for function. The LRS is NOT the best looking by far. But for me after trying wayyyyy too many it functions the best. Good luck.

It is an ever ending dance. Most of us have more than one helmet which makes it even more fun.

Hey serdvd6, Do you have any picks of the 8.5" klockwerks on your bike. Maybe a few shots from front side and angle? I am considering one for mine as well.

No problem, I wish the shield was dark about 4 inches up, it keeps drawing my eye to because of the distortion where it curves.

Look at windvest. They make the best shields and I've tried a bunch of them. . Stuart.

I tried quite a few on my Streetglide and ended up with the Memphis Shades 8.5 spoiler version which works great and very well made.

Just ordered the Memphis shades 6.5 recurve spoiler. Hope it's high enough for me at 6'2". If not I may go to the 8.5 as well.

For me, Freedom Shields has been my best hands down! I've had clock works and didn't like the distortion on the sides. I liked the Memphis shades as I had a tint to match my nana but When I went to the Freedom shield I haven't looked for another. I've had it for years and can't believe how good it still looks and works. Again, that's my opinion and you know everyone has one! :P :2vrolijk_21:
