Its hard to understand how crazy fast that is in just a mile from a dead stop. This not Bonneville.That Ford GT is making 2500 HP on methanol, 45 lbs of boost. The fastest 550 HP turbo Hyabusas motorcycles are only in the 270 MPH range because of wheelspin. The car has the advantage of downforce to keep it hooked up. 300 mph is right around the corner.

Pretty cool, but I would much rather have a ride in Stevie "FAST" Jackson's new NHRA Legal Pro-Mod Camaro. 251 mph and change in the quarter mile at Gainesville this year. I was there and it was very impressive.
