My first Harley was a black and white Deluxe....and after reading the CARB report, it looks like there is going to be a CVO Deluxe. I'm anxiously awaiting pics and getting ready to sell my CVO Breakout!
-
We also wait for a DELUXE CVO :carrot:
We own a 2011 Deluxe in root beer and are ready to change in a CVO :)
-
I love the Deluxe... but I wonder how much the CVO Deluxe will cost?
It's going to have some very strong competition for the nostalgic look in the Indian Vintage priced at only $20,999...
Hopefully they'll do a bang-up job with the paint... and put a full-leather seat on it like the Vintage has... and removable leather bags, too. Otherwise, it would seem to be a pretty tough sell feature-for-feature at traditional CVO prices - except to the True Harley Softail Faithful.

Hope to get to see some real pics of the deluxe tomorrow when the dealer get to see them.

Sure hope that isn't it. Looks disgusting and cheap.

Isn't this the first year without Willie G? It really shows it.
 :nixweiss:

They could have done better with the wheel selection, those wheels are not as nice as some of the newer ones harley has made.

They look they came from the parts bend. Aren't they the same ones from the CVO Ultra from 2007?
At least to me they do.

I do not think it looks bad, looks like they want to keep the retro or nostalgic look that is what made the Deluxe popular to begin with. But it does need more than what we see in the picture to get CVO money. Maybe cruise and tunes? GPS?
-
The crappiest job at a CVO I've seen in a loooong time.
Isn't the Deluxe supposed to be all about nostalgia? How they gonna kill the tombstone tail light for a circa '08 Street Glide tail piece?
They've not only missed the mark on this CVO Deluxe, they're not even on the paper.
And while I'm at it....what's with the tribal paint on ALL the CVO models, except the Deluxe?
-
Rumor has it that these are really being made by Honda for H-D. Well at least it should be reliable. :drink:
-
I think this was a big missed opportunity, with the new Indians coming out....Harley could have really hit a home run with a really knock-out Nostalgia bike with lots of custom leather, wire wheels, etc.....but, not this. :'( spyder

The CVO Deluxe is a disappointment (the wheels stink). I like the CVO Breakout much better. SJ Ron :)
-
For the most part I like the Deluxe. They did screw up with the tail light big time. The rims should have been very nice spoke rims.
The one with the chocolate brown leather seat and bags does look good.
I really see my wife liking this bike.
-
I'm very disappointed in the CVO Deluxe. The paint is AWFUL.
Those bags do NOT look Vintage... they look like J. C. Whitney.
And those recycled 9-spoke wagon wheels are hideous. They were hideous when they were used the first time years ago, too. They missed big time by not pairing some nice chrome 80-spoke laced wheels with those big fat white walls.
The Indian Vintage blows the CVO Deluxe right off the road... and for a LOT less money!

my husband had that ultra and yes.. they do look the same

I'm thinking the V&H longshots will look awesome on the new Deluxe! Haven't looked it up yet to see the fitment but why not?
HMMM race tuner, long shots, chrome swing arm now I'm excited :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:
Mines coming in on the 25th of September... I was told no one has the new CVOs yet... obviously I cant believe my local dealer or perhaps everything is just SSLLOWWERR ??? in the south...lol
Here's a link to good pictures of this bike... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_q6sCP4odI
Personally I love the brown leather seat and saddle bags and from this video I think the wheels look good.

They should have at least come out with a better looking wheels on these deluxe since that you guys paying such a price. It's a CVO. They shouldn't at all include these whitewall tires. They gets dirty and color changed very quickly and this should not be the case when thinking about the CVO. Why didn't put for example wheels like the one they came out with on the softail comfortable CVO on 2011

Whitewall tires can be maintained very easily if you switch to Lyndall brake pads and keep them clean as you go. If allowed to get really dirty and stay that way, they'll stain and become hard to keep very bright. They do add a lot of nostalgia look, as do real spoke wheels. JMHO. spyder

This is the wife...I got the pearl white with blue and gold. It looks amazing. I saw it on the HD website when the new lineup came out and was not impressed at all. I saw it in person and it is gorgeous. I saw the red on red yesterday and did not like that color scheme. It looked like a bike crashed into a bass boat. Didn't pop at all like the white/blue/gold Deluxe. I went from a 2012 Slim stage 1 kit with Vance Hines pipes and I could tell a difference in the "get up and go" as well. I took the windshield off in this pic.

Are those saddlebags quick detachable?

yes. And they are also "one hand open". taking them off give it a completely different look. Also this bike comes with navigation, cruise control.

VERY NICE bike and yes the stock HD photos that I have seen never do anything for the bike...
the orange/brown CVO Deluxe, that has my name on it, is supposed to be here on this Wednesday now... I'm anxious to test drive it... had an 08 Deluxe with a race tuner, stage one air intake and V&H long shots... that was quick ride too but I traded it in on my present CVO.. a citrus FLHXSE3 (which I'm keeping) but I really do miss my Deluxe for local rides so I guess I'll see what happens when it gets here.
Your post along with some others I have seen lately gives me hope for the new Deluxe... before that... all I saw was a bunch of negative crap, most likely from people who never saw the bike in person let alone took it for a ride! :nixweiss:
keep the pictures coming and ride safe.

Saw one of the CVO Deluxe's at Destination Daytona, Not my cup of tea, not ever for free. Regarding the comment above that whitewalls get dirty and change color, this is just not true. I had them years ago on RK Classic and they never do this, just as white when worn out as when new, an no harder to maintain than any other tire.
-
Springer_07, Where did you get the oil bag cover?? Is that a Captain Itch product?? I need to get one for my wife only in a brown leather.. FLH91

Agreed, the new Indians come with way more power and just a much chrome as any CVO for the price of a Road King or a Street Glide. It appears that Polaris has done a masterful job at engineering these bikes in such a short period of time.
Definitely not as much chrome as any CVO and as far as power you can buy a Hyabusa if your looking for 180 out of the box...we ride Harleys for the American heritage... they have withstood the test of time ;)

I have to admit, the press release photo does the bike no justice. It looks MUCH better in it's natural element - outside getting all the looks!
The wide bars are awesome - really give the bike a nostalgic look. Congratulations!

Your wife has a beautiful MC! I admit that I wasn't a fan when I saw the picture on the Internet but seeing your wife's picture I can honestly say that it is a real head turner. :2vrolijk_21: congrats. ::)
