« on: January 21, 2007, 04:51:41 PM »

Thinking about removing rear tag and going to a side mount . Plan on removing rear pegs and use the existing hole on the left side of bike, I do not want a tag lite but something of great quality in chrome or paintable any ideas?????? tks skippy

Hi Skippy,

Better check with local law to determine if tag light is required.

Good luck with that!!!

I don't want to give the boys in blue any reason to yank me off to the side of the road.  It should look sweet...

I went with the Kuryakyn (sp) side mount.  It clamps to the swingarm and does have a light.  I believe ahving a light is a law.  This light is very unobtrusive and actually doesn't light up the plate very well, but it is a light.  I ran the wire along the back of the swingarm ... very hard to find the wire ... I was actually asked by one guy if it ran on a battery.
