Thoughts on the numbers and the curve.
« on: December 22, 2015, 09:35:30 PM »

So dont have the bike back yet but they did get to put it on the dyno and tune it. Wanted to get everyones thoughts. The bike is a 2015 cvo street glide has about 4800 miles on it. As far as the engine mods they did S&S 583 cams, cleaned up the heads a little, hpi 55mm throttle body, D & D fat cat exhaust, and they said high performance injectors.  Here is a dyno sheet with the before and the after. Just looking for opinions to see if it looks right. And a couple pics of it in the shop

Looks like it will be fun and a big improvement but corrected numbers would be possibly 5% or greater less. We usually compare these builds based on an SAE correction factor. Notice the sheet say "uncorrected"

Don't know what they did to your heads (hope they put in beehive springs also hope they put better lifters in), but you could have got close to the same SAE numbers with a cam swap (Kury 24D, GMR .577)  your pipes and a tune, without the throttle body, injectors, and labor to remove/install heads etc. The curves look  good and it should run very well. Bet the cams are quieter than the stock ones, and it looks cool with the new engine covers. Enjoy.

Thanks the only reason i did anything with the heads and some of the other stuff was that the heads were coming off to get diamond cut so it wasnt really any more labor. I guess i will see how it runs when i get it back

Don't dwell on numbers, how it acts on the road is what matters, and it should run really good.

Here is a 110 with that cam stock t/b and stock heads we only tuned it . Looks like the larger t/b was of help , this bike was huge fun inthe low RPM range. This was a rider that did nto care what it did over 3500 RPM  :nixweiss: This cam worked there.. I feel there are more options but for a bolt in to make BIG tq with no mods its works

About a 1/3 of what your drag bike costs.  ;D
