Just FYI, I found a killer price on these.

If you go to the new Phat Performance site, there is a 7% discount code- MSRP is $749.99, Phat's is $650.95 total, including their normally lower price plus the coupon code. And free shipping!

I've been running with the Legend's AXEO since last summer on my '08. They are an improvement over the Progressive Monotubes that I had previously. Sort of hard to describe the difference - They are smooth, but seem more lively than the Monotubes. The AXEO's do track well. I have Bitubo's for my rear suspension.

I checked the hard racing website and after you add springs and fork oil, it comes to $879.00. Still better than MSRP, and around Howards prices, but more than the Axeos.

I wonder if the Ohlins have to be rebuilt every so often vs the Axeos. Already had to rebuild my rear Ohlins. Gets pricey having to do that.

At how many miles did your Ohlins require rebuilding???

I think about 15,000-20,000 miles. One developed a leak so I had Howard rebuild them.

I ordered the Axeos from Phats for $650 and free shipping. Also got a used CCE triple tree clamp, so will get both put on this month, then I'm done with the suspension on this bike.

Well I ordered my set for my 98 Road King. I know it won't compare to the 30mm Ohlins fork cartridges on my FXR4. But it's OK. Two completely different Bikes for different Riding styles. I will be able to give a direct comparison.
