Stage 1 download for the standard 110 ECU
« on: February 07, 2007, 12:43:29 PM »

Any of you guys know if HD produce a Stage 1 download for the standard 110 ECU?   i.e. like they used to do before the SERT came along?

Jim, from my understanding, they do not offer an ECM download at this point in time.  It's the SERT or similar device, or nothing.

Damn! Another good idea gone..... :'(

Thanks T.

Plan was to overcome these stoopid Active valves we have on the HDI exhaust and intake.  I believe that just using a SERT map leaves the ECU still aware of them.  Suppose the sensible step might be to flash the ECU with the standard US ECU image, and THEN use the SERT......

I'm not sure if there is a Stage I download.  I know they put a download on my bike before they did the SERT, but I think that was for the Rev extender, because that supposedly can't be done with the SERT alone.   :nixweiss:

Yes, sounds like the only way we could do it, (outside of the Thundermax), Red.

The Screaming Eagle Catalog shows downloads fo various options but I don't think the factory has made them available. This is still a very gray area on the '07s! Everyone speaks in fork-ed tongue! ;) Hoist! 8)

Yes, same happened with the 05 model year if I remember correctly, Hoist.  They said they weren't doing them any more, but the demand was there, so they caved.

Maybe this year the same might happen...

Eqcons,
You may be on to something.
I know I recently had my 2006 in to have the Arlen Ness big sucker a/c setup installed along with the S&S SPO slip-on mufflers.(I used the stock headpipes) My dealer did a Stage 1 race download and it worked fine without using a SERT or PC. I have not had a chance to dyno it yet but it seems to run cooler with more power. I know when the 2006s first came out they said that year was going to be the one no one could change.

Yes, I remember them saying there would be no downloads for the 2006, but of course there were, eventually.  Maybe they mean it with the 2007s though!

Va, how do you like the way the SPOs sound?  Are you running the performance (std) baffle or the "low noise" baffle?
