Sticky and oily lower fairing plastic cleaning?
« on: October 09, 2016, 12:17:22 PM »

Hello

On my Street Glide 2015 the lower fairing plastic feel sticky/oily, in particular the actionable levers to open and close the vent.

Is that normal? I guess not. Should it be replaced under warranty? Is there any permanent solution to "clean" that?

Thank you for your info

Can't help with cleaning but are you sure you don't have an antifreeze leak?

No leak. The most sticky side is the left one

Take it apart and check,, or just wash it? Nothing in there to create oily residue except anti-freeze so if no leak sounds like dealer may have lubed you door hinge pins. Not sure why, but it could be possible.
I would just wash the bike and see if it comes back.
