« on: December 26, 2016, 12:11:07 PM »

Is the clutch any different in the 2017 CVO models compared to '16 and older?
Thanks

The complete clutch assembly part number changed (2017 - P/N 37000254, 2016 - P/N 37000026), as did the individual part numbers for the clutch disk kit, the pressure plate, the spring seats, the coil springs, the double row bearings, and some miscellaneous snap rings.  It's still the same basic A&S design, with tweaks to a few internal parts, as best I can tell.

Thanks for the info Jerry.  Any reason to believe the 2017 clutch will perform better than its predecessors?

I haven't seen any details on why any of those internal part changes were made, so I can't even guess.  While we might hope those changes mean they identified problems and fixed them, based on past history I wouldn't want to hang my hat on that being the case.  Feedback from those with 2017's should give some indication as they rack up some miles.

So far at 6k on my 17 CVO limited  the clutch is great - better in fact than my 07 and my 12. First A&S clutch I've had but really liking it.

had a 13, seems to me it grabs better. If you start to let it go at the lever and at the last inch just let loose seems the bike really jumps. on my 13 seemed like it just slipped in when taking off
