Had battery tested.  Has good voltage but the CCA are around 320. So that's prolly the problem.  Said need minimum of around 400 CCA.

Where is a good place to get a new battery.  Don't feel like paying $170.00 for HD battery.  Only ones I've found outside HD only have around 310 CCA

Try Battery Mart.  http://www.batterymart.com/p-Big-Crank-ETX30L-Battery.html

The battery referenced in that link is made in the USA by East Penn, which may or may not be important to you.  It has 400 CCA, fits all Harley Touring models since about 1997, and is priced at $109 delivered to your door.  They often run specials that can drop that price to less than $100.  Beats the heck out of paying Harley $170 plus for their product.  Many of us around here use the East Penn battery, which is sold under their own brand name of Deka as well as many other names such as Big Crank.  They seem to work just as well as the Harley battery, and have about the same longevity as well.  As I've noted many times, batteries these days in bikes or cars seem to have a highly variable service life.  Some last for a year, some last for six or seven years, and most last for somewhere in the three to four year range.  As best I can tell the brand doesn't make much difference.

Btw, if you want a higher CCA high quality battery a good choice that will still cost you less than the Harley battery is a Yuasa GYZ32HL at 500 CCA.  The best price I've seen on that one is at Amazon, try this link and check the various sellers:

This is also made in the USA.
