Corbin Solo seat
« on: February 22, 2017, 03:44:51 PM »

For those of you that have a Corbin solo seat on your SG, how is the seating position compared to stock.  I am 6' 4" so need some leg room.  Does the seat move you down, forward, backward, what?  The seat would have the back rest also if I decide to get it. Thanks in advance.

For a Corbin classic solo, moves me (6'-2") down and back about 2".

I do fit on the SG but use the highway pegs for any distance.  If the Corbin Solo moves me back 2 inches from the tank that would be a good thing.  Not sure about the down 2 inches part however.  The bike that fits me the best, and the one I use for long distance is my BMW GSA but that has a 35 inch seat height and even at my height and inseam it is a challenge to throw your leg over the saddle after a long day on the road.  Thanks for the replies.

I have had the Corbin solo for 8,000 miles.  It is well padded and way more comfortable.
It seems it raises you off the ground a bit and the backrest has some adjustment.  So, you can back up the angle and lean back.

It is a great seat.

I ride a Corbin classic solo also. You can have them make the seat how you want it. I am shorter (5'6") and they narrowed the seat so I can still get both feet firmly on the ground. I am sure they can add padding or move you back as needed.

Thanks for the replies.  Guess I will get out the money gun and order a Solo for my new CVO. I have one on my GSA and it is an all day seat with the backrest.  Be safe out there.
