"Instrument" fuse keeps blowing
« on: February 28, 2017, 05:13:45 AM »

Background; 2002 FLHRCI. Recently I have been blowing the 15 amp instrument fuse on my scooter. Usually happens just as I am leaving the house, I stop and replace the fuse and all seems well. Doesn't happen all the time but seems to be happening more. I checked in the switch housings to see if I had an issues there and all seems fine. I checked the wiring from the fuse panel and all seems fine as well. Chasing electrical gremlins  is a PITA so I figures I would see if any of you have experienced anything like this and have some suggestions.

Thanks in advance......

Agreed they can be the pits. Fuses blowing like that almost always mean shorting to ground. You need to chase the wires that are involved with that circuit. Might be fast might not.   Good luck
