First ride of 2017
« on: February 26, 2017, 09:30:34 AM »

This past Tuesday I took the bike out for the first time this year. It was 35 degrees and cloudy and the scene was the asphalt jungle that is NOVA. Still enjoyed the ride as I kept replaying some of my favorite rides from the past. So I added the ride with 2k (still one of the best rides as it happened at a low point in my life and and we hadn't even met in person yet when Jimmy extended an invitation to go riding and stay at his place - a brother forever!) and the Bluefield WV from last year (a wonderful GTG). And the first ride of 2017 doesn't look so depressingly grey anymore! Some of the video footage from Bluefield is by Chuck (thank you Chuck!).

At 35F hopefully you've got the heated jacket and gloves and the boot insoles.....they sure make for comfortable riding.

Going to be 85F here in San Diego today.  I'll be installing the Biker Bar in my toyhauler this morning then this afternoon........maybe a ride down to San Diego Bay waterfront.

Thank you gentlemen. I have a new GoPro 5 and the stabilizer and hoping to have a drone by the time we are headed to MITM. So we should have more video to share next time.

JCZ, no heated anything except for the heated grips on the bike! I actually prefer the colder weather because I feel more comfortable wearing everything I wear due to my sun allergy when it's cooler outside.
