Rinehart 4" slip on vs Crusher Mellows
« on: March 05, 2017, 01:18:06 AM »

Just about to finish up a 117 build, head work, 24D cam, and V&H power duel head pipe. I have had the Rinehart 4" slip ons on the bike and was wondering what the performance difference would be between them and the Crushers Mellows. What would be the noise difference between them? If there's a noticeable gain in the Crushers at a reduced volume I would make the change before tuning.

Thanks
David

Crushers make good power. . To me Rineharts are vey loud at speed. . I know the builders have been liking the crusher mellows for a while.  I had them on my 12sesg3.. . Was very happy with the sound  and helped that 122 square motor out just fine. Stuart.

Fullsac 4.0 Slash. More power and quieter.

Not to hi jack the OP... Steve any thoughts of offering a reverse slant muffler, that follows the saddle bag line?

Steve, I have looked at those, are the cans one piece or can the slash be reversed to where it matches the extended bags of the CVO?

We had slash up in the past. The current slash down out sells the slash up 10-1. Its hard to do a run of 100 mufflers and watch em sit. My personal preference has always been slash up too. We are thinking about doing the next run with billet endcaps, no slash. This would be after our M8 mufflers get finished.

If this is a power quest, your stock CVO can with a 2.0 baffle is still a top performer.

Somewhere around here I actually believe there is a set of CVO cans that have your 2" baffles in them. Sure hope I didn't sell them
