Question on 113 build
« on: March 10, 2017, 10:05:30 AM »

I am looking at doing a 113 build on my '15 cvo limited. Using the 9cc dome pistons from Suburban HD so 10.58 static and Andrews 57H cams will bring corrected compression to 9.82 / 207 ccc. Only 91 octane available around here mostly and wondering if it should be okay?

I do not run that cam over 10.3 with similar octane here locally and across the US. Calculated and what they end up are two different things. Fluid check and measure everything. You may find a flat top would suit better with a light head mill and the barrels 0 decked, .030 head gasket.

You can mill a little off the dome also to bring down compression

True. If I can get the piston dome down to 6cc I'd be under 10.3 static. S&S585 would give me about 9.24 and Andrews 57 about 9.54

I'm running a 113 build with static compression of 10.94 and a corrected compression of 9.89.  Have 209 ccc as measured after 10 k miles and don't have any problems with 91 octane. Not running the 57 however. Found out recently my came is basically a copy of a Tman 590.

The quality of the tune will be a strong factor of what will work and what will not. Timing as well as AFR needs to be addressed.

Something that will affect how high you want to run that compression would be how you ride. Are you a solo rider, 2up, trailer. How much you load your ride is something to think about.
