Nice.
Couple of questions- why the 585? More lift or?
#2 Use the Harley flat top and how did you figure your compression?
Leaning towards using the entire kit except the lifters but still researching. Thanks

My question is why a 4th gear pull?
Std or Corrected results?

Will, I chose the SE 585 for the torque where I ride 90% of the time. That old bagger weighs 900 Lbs. Just didn't want the power further out to the right like the 259's. Used the HD flat top . HD lifters, figured I'd just change them out at 10K or so,. Think you will be pleased with the kit as long as you at least bump compression, .030 gasket, zero deck cyls.

SAE Numbers.   Reason for 4th gear pull is the rear tire @ 6000 rpm in 5th gear is @ 123 MPH .  Tire is not rated for much more than that and Ed has had a rear tire let go on the dyno and it wasn't fun.,Just didn't want to beat the tire up

Difference between 4th & 5th gear pulls are about 3-6% bump. Just didn't see any need of a 5th or 6th gear pull .   From  what I have read and asked around consensus is most tuners use 4th gear.

You'll be able to pull cars out of ditches with that thing! I agree with you on TQ. If sacrificing any of that low end meant 5 more ponies, I wouldn't be interested in that trade. And at 120HP, most cruisers/baggers on the road aren't going to keep up with you in the event you did want to "play around" a little bit anyways  8)

Was kinda thinking the same thing. If I don't have it done by 5500, It's ain't gonna get done...I built this to tour anywhere and have good manners..In the Hill Country now at my office, Will be playing on the sisters later in the week..
