Heat from aftermarket cams
« on: April 18, 2017, 08:27:14 AM »

Was thinking about putting market cams on my bike. One question is, do they create more heat with either Intown riding or highway cruising?

If your running 255's and the cat head pipe, you could stand to lose a lot of heat by ditching them and a good tune

An Aftermarket Cam (with more Overlap) properly Tuned will allow the Engine to run cooler

As long as compression is matched to the cams, and properly tuned there will be no heat issues, like fla said,it willl run cooler
