We have a lot of vets on this site and I thought this would be of interest.  As an honorably discharged vet but one who is not retired nor disabled I could only get the 10% military discount on certain days - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day as I recall.  But now we can enjoy the discount 24/7, 365.  Hooray for Lowe's - my favorite place to shop (well other than my Harley dealer, lol) and now it's even better.

Home Depot doesn't do it any more in S. Cal

They added it to their MyLowes program and have a vetting service that verifies you're a veteran.  It was painless to sign up but I haven't tested it at the store yet.

As a military retiree I just showed my retired ID card in the past but I'm glad they expanded it to all veterans.  It's a small change for me so now instead of showing my ID card I will give them my phone number on check out and it will link to my MyLowes account which shows the military discount.  Like any shopping program it allows them to track your purchases so we're giving up a little privacy for the discount but that's ok with me.

Glad they expanded the program for much deserving Veterans.

My status is the same. I've been getting the 10% discount here every day for yrs. used to get the same from home de-pot. they stopped it, so I now only use Lowes
