I installed the latest software update 1.21.0.1 and now my accessory switch doesn't work. It won't show trip or range, just mileage and my info button (temp, oil pressure) won't work unless boom audio is turned on. It worked before without the boom audio needing to be turned on.
Is anyone else having this issue with the latest software update.
I'm thinking I need to re-install the software.
Any thoughts?

By accessory switch, are you referring to the button on the topside of the left hand controls? If so, I wouldn't think the Boom! Box update would effect those controls since it mainly interfaces with the speedometer. Have you tried using that button to turn on the Boom! Box and instrument panel (with the main power switch off, press and hold the  for 3-5 seconds)? Does the button behave any differently in that mode?

You must have the key fob in proximity to deactivate security before the accessory switch will work.

The accessory mode won't power up after holding down at all. The fob's not the problem. I can't toggle range, trip or Info button (right hand) while riding or garaged like I use to before the update. Can the update be removed then re-installed.

The odometer switch on your left side is unaffected by the boom software update. Was it working before the update? The 2015 bikes had a number of defective switchgears. I had both of mine replaced twice. Have you watched the bike recently? The problem with the old switches was simply that they were not waterproof.

But to answer your question, the update can't be deleted but, you can reinstall it if something went bad. it will ask you if you want to replace the update with the new update and you just say yes.

No wash or rain. My bike only gets washed a couple times a year if mother nature don't help out. I noticed it the next morning after installing the new software while riding to work. You think Harley would have a recall on the switchgears if their not waterproof. How much are they installed?

Well I tried to upload the same version but, when I got to the screen that says yes and no it wouldn't let me switch to yes. It looks like I'll need to go the dealer unless there's any more suggestions.

If you can't select the YES option, chances are you do not have the bike in ACCESSORY mode.  You will not be able to select the YES option if the ignition is in the on position. 

In case you are not familiar with Accessory mode... with the bike run switch in the OFF position (for at lease 15 seconds), press the left handlebar odometer button for a few seconds until the radio power comes on.  Then insert the USB drive and you will be able to upgrade.

It will also update if you turn on the ignition switch, but that puts a higher draw on your battery, that's why they tell you to turn with the accessory button, if you update with the ignition switch on, I would connect a battery tender.

Yea, I tried it with the ignition switch on and that didn't work either.

It's a common problem with the odometer button for the 2014-2015 bikes and is a warranty case.
My dealer changed me the left control


They also changed me the fork lock - it did not work from the remote fob

As far I have experienced, it will NOT work with the ignition switch on.  You must use the accessories switch (odometer switch).  At least that how it works on the '15 FLTRUSE.
