My 2015 st/glyde lifter has failed just 10 weeks out of warranty with HD refusing any good will gesture.Has this become a common fault?

I would suggest you use the "search" feature of the site to complete a search using the word "lifter."  The quantity of responses would, however, break the internet, cause your router to overheat, start a fire and burn your house down.  So that a motorcycle engine is your only current loss instead I'll just say "yes."

Listening to all of the gloom and doomers I went ahead and changed out my lifters on my 2015 with 27000 miles have to say the rollers looked like new. Put in AMS Johnson Hylift and Rocker Lockers the motor sounds the same, never did have any excessive valve train noise.

I am 17 months into the 24 month warranty on my 2015 FLTRUSE RoadGlide Ultra, (purchased the 5 yr extended) and at 7K miles.

Some say ride the bike until something happens. I'd like to not wait until a possible lifter failure.

If I have the lifters checked at my next maintenance and have them replaced with the S&S lifters? Should an issue happen with the S&S warranty wont cover it.

While they are in there I'd like to upgrade the cam to (SE585) and use SE adj, push rods (18404-08). Stock throttle body work?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Seems as though that was on the '15 models. Now they're at a 2 year warranty.

28K you lucked out quite honestly, IMHO.  It could have been a whole lot worse.

Sad now that the MOCO has come out with a new design, the hundreds of thousands with this crap design are forever screwed, and have as their only option to continually replace parts for the life of their "ownership experience" with this motor...
