Seems to be a metaphor for life being somewhat out of control , but you being able to keep on going .

I guess once we all realize that we're really nothing more than "along for the ride," everything else will fall into place.  So much of what I do depends on that which others must do first, and as much as I try to help them, I usually just end up getting in the way.  Then I stress out about it and end up not sleeping..........and when I do sleep, I dream weird chit.  Weird!
