Simple solution........buy a Dodge! Just my opinion.
Cars are built buy humans and get fixed by them, I have a 2004 Dodge SRT and going with our theme of the companies most expensice 2WD Truck and their CVO, it has had it's share of issues. Mostly around the front pulley but there have been others.
I can do warranty work on it as a Jeep dealer and we have done some of it. Mostly though I have had the local Dodge dealer do the work and it has been OK. But the bottom line on these issues is you either decide to ride them out or you make a switch. In my case with the mods to get over 600hp out of the SRT I decided to ride it out.
I can't fault someone that has not interest in fighting the fight that goes on sometimes with a manufacturer/dealer. It is always unfortunate when a vehicle has issues and the customer can not get them resolved through their dealer. IMHO it is the dealer that is the best/only true advocate for the customer and if you don't have a good/cooperative/helpful dealer you don't have squat.
This is proven here as well as most recently with Hoist having to move his warranty issues to a different dealer since the selling dealer didn't have the capacity?whatever to get the job done in a timely manner.
Hate to see folks that have gone domestic pull the plug on it and go to foreign manufacturers, but honestly it's what the foreign makers have relied on for years and now Toyota is reaping the harvest of what it has sewn.
