Seat for the Springer
« on: August 16, 2007, 02:42:03 PM »

Has anyone found a seat to fit the Springer? I have ordered 3 seats and only one fit but was way too oversized. I'm looking for a little more cushion for the passenger nothing more. My wife keeps complaining.

I thought I posted this yesterday but it's not up
I have a 2007 springer as well and have 2 extra seats I've picked up
First was a 2007 Sundowner from the Dealer - goes in in 15 seconds for the wifes tender butt
Second was a used seat off Ebay from a 2006 Night train that I cut down and had recovered in Brown Natural unfinished leather - looks like an old baseball glove - I'll get a pic of it up pretty soon - looks cool
Both are just stand issue HD 200MM rear tire seats and go on without any issues
good luck

How about a Corbin Classic Solo with Passenger Pillion? It would only take a few minutes to convert from solo seat to dual seating and aesthetically it still would look good. Has anybody tried this set-up on the CVO Springer? Here's a link: http://www.corbin.com/harley/softail/hdst6cs.shtml

I saw those too but didn't want to put the other seat nut on ---the Sprngr only comes with the one nut just behind the pass section and is plugged for a second one behind the rider
It would be pretty easy to though if you wanted to

I put the Softail Cust sissy bar on - but passed on the King/Queen seat
I like the look of the rounded bar but not keen on the Giant seat

Beerman,

I copied your idea and took it one step further....

HD makes a small backrest pad for the softail custom sissybar, It looks good on mine and finishes off the sissybar! :2vrolijk_21:

I used the softail sissybar and the retro king/queen seat looks great
but not much padding,I will probably buy the stock softtail custom seat for longer rides.

So my wife really wanted some sort of sissy bar, but I didn't want to cover up the fenders too much so I bought this ... She complains about the padding too ... thinking about getting her and me some of those propad gel things ... neighbor has one on his ultra and he likes it.

The only corbin seat I could find for it was the gun slinger and I need a young guns seat.  Does anyone know if there is a seat similar to the way a young gun seat sits?

Le Pera has a seat that moves you closer. If that is what you mean. But it is only a solo. http://www.lepera.com/ Go to web site click "BIKES" then "SOFTAILS" and keep clicking "NEXT GROUP" until you reach seats shown on a blue bike with a blue backgrounds. Those are the seats for the 200mm rear tire

I just traded in the FXSTSSE and have 2 seats to get rid of
A HD Sundowner - 250 new, I;d take half that and a custom Tan natural distressed leather gunfighter style I have 300 in it and will take 150
call for info / pics - check the site though - I've posted pics of both

A custom Street Glide in all white with spoke wheels and WW tires / full chrome front end and controls
Looks great and the 96/6 speed is almost fast enough to keep my attention!
Still have a couple of seats and the sissy bar left to sell if anyone is interested
thanks

Don't mean to jack the thread  but what screen is that, johna.  Not a big fan of screens on the springer but as long as I can add when highwaying and take it off when not...it will be OK.
