I pay about $1,300 per year for full coverage with a "Guaranteed Replacement" clause in my policy. Basically if my bike gets wrecked or stolen it will be replaced with all of the exact parts (or equivelent if they are not availible) including all of the accessories that have been added. I too have a perfect driving record.

Shop around the cost for insurance varies greatly from company to company.

Had to go look.  Mine was $513.00 per six months.  That $1952 for less than six months from the provinces was frightening.  Even when you count that he's likely talking CDN dollars that's still somewhere around $1500.00.   Is insurance for all you Canadians that bad or is he just getting raped and mutilated?

Holy cow, guys, I'm only paying $429.80 for a whole year's coverage on the '04 SEEG through State Farm.  It did go up $80 or so when I moved from the '02 Electra Glide Classic to the SEEG, though.

All,

I am paying CDN $1,300.00 per year for Insurance in Calgary, Alberta. This is for an 03 Road Glide valued at CDN $32,000 due to modifications etc.

I carry $1,000,000 Third Part Liability, Deductible on collision/upset is $500 and deductible on comprehensive is $500.

Have no convictions for traffic offences the last few years (have fought them all) and won.

If Canadian Insurance seems high, it is because we have to carry min. $500,000 third party liability.

Also our insurance companies are "Whores" last fiscal year they reprted profits in excess of $4 BILLION.

Leo;
I went w/ Jevco, State Farm was actually cheaper, but I've got too many tickets!
GAHD is pushing Blue Circle, but they're more expensive.

Are you going to going to stay in Phoenix for the ride?

Well, upon further review, I was wrong on mine at $513 for six months.  That last payment was just a pro-rated payment when the policy changed over and the bike was changed.  It turns out the annual rate is $786.  Less than some, more than others.  Oh well..... [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Went and checked mine again and I'm only paying $388 per 6 months on the bike.  (Got it mixed up with my truck policy). I'm with Allstate.

I've got the SEEG and my wifes' '05 Softail Deluxe on the same policy with Geico.  $721 for both scoots per year.  I am told, however, that all insurance auto/home/cycle will be going up at the policy renewal period due to the never ending stream of hurricanes last fall down here.

I still feel good about ours. We use H-D (Dairyland) for both SEEGs and the 95th Ann RK and pay less than a grand; lots of chrome extras and no lying about the mega miles driven!

Of course everything is relative, given the type coverages...I pay $718 for two of my three bikes with Progressive...however I am rethinking matters now that I have read the threads...

My problem is the custom and coverage...very difficult.

Bottom Line - if you are happy that is all that matters!

Here in Central PA I'm pay $393 a yr. from Liberty Mutual W/no accident or violations.  My wifes car and the home owners policy give the disco to get it down that low.  I had insurance thru HOG but they changed vendors and for my SEEG they wanted twice that much for state min. liability coverage.

Again, (said it the last time a thread went around asking this question) insurance has a lot of variables........actually, too many, to even get a close idea.

I am with Markel American. Full coverage with a $500 Deductible. Actual cash value. 25-50 liability. That is the minimum for KY. The cost is $684 per year.www.bike-line.com for quotes online. I am pretty satisfied. It was hundreds cheaper than HOG aka Dairyland or the others I checked.

Wow with the high vehicle theft rate in La Belle Province and high car and truck insurance rates, your only paying $550, that is a fantastic rate.

Geezerglide,

I'm doing business with Trudeau Assurances (broker). This is for a full year!!  SEEG is the same rate than FLHTCI.

The rate is low because it is a ''Touring Class'. Here, the theft are more interrested for softail, Dyna and others HD. There are some assurance companies which assure only FLH, because the other HD are too risky!!

Hotmetal2,

Thanks for the info., that is an excellent rate.

I make it down to Montreal 3 - 4 times a year as our Head Office and main manufacturing plants are located on Cote de Liesse, McArthur Ave, Ward Avenue and also in Granby. I work for a valve manufacturer VELAN.

I'm now paying $476.00 per year with comp and collision, through American Family.  Clean record and no claims makes a big difference to them.  (I understand the rates go up about 60% the first time you file a claim...) [smiley=nervous.gif]
