PS  when i picked my bike up from the dealer it rained for 3 days so i used 3 of your pics. to e-mail my buddies pics. of my new bike.  176 of 1800.

I was running Screaming Eagle Pro Mufflers (65115-98B) on my 2007 110 and it also ran fine until hot weather hit in mid summer. As the 100 degree weather set in it would ping when engine got really hot in traffic and such.  On my 2008 I am going to use the same mufflers for winter riding but will install FuelPak and big sucker this spring when V&H comes up with the map.

Mc,                                                                                                that's how i had it figured.  lucky to get my bike after summer.  have wondered how it will do in august in Texas, or on a cross desert trip at 100+o.  checked my plugs after 300 mi. an they looked acceptable, (dark bottom and med. grey tip) but thats at 75-85 degree outside temp.  am sure i will get some sort of tuner & dyno after 1,000 mi. to make sure of , at least the A/Fuel mix.  probably a full SERT & dyno to get all i can out of the engine, and have it set for a long, strong, life..

Jackie, I like the front fender trim.  Do you have a part number for it?

PS, welcome to the site from western, NY

Sounds good.  I just hate lean mixture and Harley sure sets them up that way to meet EPA. I have always been able to "seat of the pants" tune a carb engine to near perfection but FI is another story. Will pick my 105th up in the morning and post number. Have a good one.

 J.    the front fender trim is not a harley part.  it comes from a site called
eglidegoodies.com  seems like it was 29.00 without looking it up. good thing, besides being different, is that it sticks on. no holes in fender. instalation time (30 seconds). everbody, check out this site. he has some good items.  right now i have doors with chrome turn knobs coming to replace those stupid leather, 4 button flaps on the lower farings.  jackie

Picked up #308 last evening. Paint perfect, well pleased.  Will post pics when I return from untimely business trip.  Heavy fog today after three days of rain.  Hope to get out for a few hours prior to leaving on business.  Stayed up late and added Screaming Eagle Pro Mufflers with my own baffle design, chrome inner primary cover, trans cover, headlight and driving light hoods, 12' Windshield and chrome slotted trim, front fender 105th emblem, passenger grab rails along with Kuryakyn floorboard mounts and adjustable foot pegs and a few other things that I am too fuzzy to remember.  Look forward to a sunny day.

Here's my '08.  It has 400 miles so far, no problems yet (except the cover doesn't fit which we already all know).  The last three VIN digits are 352.

Here ya go.   The stripping was done by Jeff Jefferies here in Ventura County, Cal; his number is (805) 340-7109.

The cooling fan is from LeNale Engineering (they do business thru Ebay even though their products are new).  They shipped right away and the fan works well on the bike.  The horn is small, some mount a horn forward of the engine.

That's really a nice pinstriping job!  A lot of times pinstriping just doesn't look "right" to my eye, but I think that looks fabulous!  He did a great job of coming up with a design that both compliments the factory colors and flows well with the lines of the bike.  Nice! :2vrolijk_21:

deucedog, check out the 3rd Party For Sale section and the thread I stared on LeNale Engineering: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=17579.0.

There is a link there to their eBay auction for the fans.

Tommy, my guess is it's just the flash washing out the graphite or whatever color they call it.  You're right, silver motors will always have more power, though. :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2:

The '08 CVO's use a new "granite" color from Harley.  The flash just washed it out.

I am number 38.  Got mine on Oct 8.  Have 3,000 miles on it already.  Went from Nashville to Florida and back for part of that mileage.  I am delighted with the performance.  Zero complaints.  I think better sounding pipes are in its future though.  Any suggestions or other recommendations?   If any of you get to TN, give me a shout.  Ride Well!

Picked up mine this weekend and have a few hundred miles on it already.  It is #236.  Much better than my 100th anniversay Heritage Classic.  No pics at present, but looks the same as nearly all the other posted.  I also agree with above, I put on the True-dual Rineharts with SECU.

i agree on the rinhart true duals. that's what i put on mine.  but when you crank it on, they are very LOUDD.   If you don't want that, maby just screamin eagle, or some other slip on's.  butt,,, you wont get max out of that engine without duals, a race tuner and dyno tune.

Hi, Here are the part numbers I used for my 08 SEUC. The parts are discontinued from HD but your dealer can do a search and find a dealer that still has stock.

#65115-98B   SE Slip On Muffler  - I paid $322.96
#65062-01     Billet End Cap - Slash Cut - I paid $42.00 each

I had the Rinehart True Duals on my last SE and was a little load for me, went to quite baffles and was acceptable. These HD SE Slip Ons are perfect. the sound is great and just enough. I also did the HD SERT and SE A/C. Bike runs and sounds great. I'm considering finding another set and putting them away for my next bike.

I had the Screamin' Eagle slippons on my 02 and liked them alot.  I went with the V&H Oval slippons and true duals on the SEUC and really like the sounds of them.  They are just a tad louder than the SE's were, but are not too loud.   You can make them "bark" if you want to though.  But I can also drive out of the neighborhood at 5:30am and not wake anyone up too... ;)

another harley trick.  they will tell you that the original end caps won't fit on the new se slipons so you have to spend another $85.00 bucks for end caps.  they are sort of right because the orig. end caps are about the same diamater as the new se mufflers.  being the cheapskate i am, and wanting to prove them wrong, i put the old end caps in a vice, used my hacksaw to cut more slots in the slip in end, squeezed them in, and they slipped right in.  that was on an 05 seeg.

In my reply (#12) above, I erroneously used the last three VIN digits as the production number asked for.  I've since found out that the medallion on the right side cover has the production sequence number I should have used (Duh!).  My number is #159.  Probably not too important, but there ya go.

Jeff charges a flat rate by the number of designs.  Over three designs it's $45 each with two colors.  I used two colors on the '07 and three colors on the '08.  Three colors is $50 per.  The '08 has 13 designs @ $50ea. for a total of $650.  He talks with you and tries several color schemes and designs until he has an idea what you like, then you let him go.  He spent two days on the '08.

Hey, does anyone else think these Duracell's would look GREAT with
a leather tour pak on the back?  :nixweiss: The colors are perfect for one.  So here is what you do....get a leather tour pak and make both the hard and leather tour paks detachable and go back and forth depending on your mood.  :2vrolijk_21: With the leather tour pak there will be no doubt the bike is a SE.

Hey Willie,

I'm sure you'll have no problem finding someone with an '06 or '07 SEEG willing to swap you a leather TP for yours... Most of the ones I know would love to have the old look of plastic back and then paint it to match! :2vrolijk_21:

Here's #601 delivered Dec. 5th.
Unfortunately here in Toronto we're up to "our you know what" in snow, so it'll be a bit before I get to ride it.
Of course this allows one sometime to add a few bits here and there... Just a a few so far, but I'll keep at it all winter.

Delivered Monday 12/17/2007 "Copper Top" #800 to Mishawaka, Indiana.

Cobra Slip-Ons
PCIII

It went to Hoosier HD of Elkhart, IN and was traded to McDaniel's HD in South Bend, IN for a Canyon Copper FLHTCUSE3.
I traded in my 07 FHLTCUSE2 to get the new bike. Is it spring yet. Had to plow the driveway so they could make the delivery.

Merry Christmas

Picked up #670 today.  Since I'm in MI. I had to trailer it home, but it looks goooood in my garage!  Right now it's totally stock but pipes and SERT are in the future.  I heard Bub 7's on a road glide, with true duals, it sounded great.

i agree on the rinhart true duals. that's what i put on mine.  but when you crank it on, they are very LOUDD.   If you don't want that, maby just screamin eagle, or some other slip on's.  butt,,, you wont get max out of that engine without duals, a race tuner and dyno tune.

Just wondering... Is that a center stand you have on your bike?
If so, which make?  How does it work?  Are you happy with it?

Thanks!

Grizzly,  that center stand works great. got it from eglidegoodies.com. I have never had a problem with eglide but have heard others complain about them.  I saw another brand in hot springs ar. at a rally that i really liked because the lever on it was long enough to stand on while on the bike and lift it.  don't remember the name, but i have a card somewhere. if i find it i will pass it on.    jackie

I looked at exactly the same stand at exactly the same place Jackie.  Didn't see the vendor there for the second rally but at the HOG rally earlier in the year.  It did deploy much easier than then others I've played with.  Only complaints were the handle stuck out further (only a bit) and (the big complaint) it didn't actually fully lift the rear wheel off the ground.  So you didn't gain the benefit for cleaning and service that could be gained with the others.

A large bunch of us were at the Hot Springs rally later in the year.  Another good group is likely to be there again in 2008.  Keep an eye out for a thread already started in the events section and join in.

This is getting off topic, but I had the center stand from www.vwowv.com on my '06 USE.  I loved it.  I met the guy who designed them here at Custer during the Sturgis Rally in '06.  His name is Al Meyer.  He installed the stand personally.  He's a nice guy and has a great product.  If anyone is interested, you can talk to Al personally by calling him at 218-259-0650.

#522.  It sits in my garage waiting for the end of snow.  This picture at the dealer is before an added stage 1: SERT, Ness air filter, V&H tapered slip-ons;  Harley air horn (it is loud-I can't wait for the first yahoo attempting to occupy my lane at the same time as me!), LCD rear tail light and some doo-dads/lights on the front and rear fenders to make it look more "Ultra" like.  I didn't like the naked fenders of the stock FLHTCUSE3.  Isn't it pitiful that you can spend this much on a bike and still need options!!

This bike was dynoed at 94.85 max HP and 115.51 ft-lbs torque (about 10% higher than as delivered stock).  The air/fuel ratio is now remarkably straight at 13:1, with no obvious richness or leanness.  Everything I've read about the 110 CI engine is that it gets super hot in the summer and a lot of that heat is due to how rich the machine runs.  We're hoping this mapping will keep it cooler.  But I still got the quick release thumb screws for the lowers so I can run in electro-glide mode in the summer and get more air to the engine.

Steve G:  There was 25 miles on the bike when dynoed.  I'm guessing the service boys must have tried it out a bit.  I asked the same questions about dyno readings before break in.  But I did a little research on break-in and found out a few interesting details. Like how hard the bike is run (very high rpm) at the factory before it goes out the door.  Then I saw a national geographic tv show on the BMW plant in Spartanburg, SC that confirmed what I'd been reading.  Before any Z4 goes out the door they run it up to 120 mph for several minutes on a roller wheel and then check it over.  How much break in can there be after that?  So I'm guessing the rings are sealed!

I have #33 here in Northern California.  Best bike I have ever owned.  Couldn't help myslef had RC Cycles in Hayward help with the horsepower and torque. Since my last post I have put 24,000 miles on and still runs like a champ.

I live in such a small town that nobody knows the difference in a CVO and a moped.  I got tired of trying to explain what my bike is, and as far as anyone around here knows, it's a brown '72 Honda 750.  -I think I'm gonna start telling people that's what it is.  When they tell me it looks pretty good for a '72, I'll tell 'em I use Crystal Glo.   :huepfenlol2:

I picked mine up last Thursday evening.  Rained Friday, but have about 350 miles over the weekend.  Had the ambient air temp gauge replaced by an oil temp gauge.  I'm assuming the dealer installed the sensor in the oil cooler return line, because the gauge stays below 200 except for about 5 minutes of idle during 95 degree day when it got close to 230 degrees.  Overall, not as hot as I was expecting.

My Number 1408

wish they did this for the 100th...  I would love to know what number my bike was, and how many they made.

All I know is that it was made in 06/03...
