What Cover do you use on CVO, when not in Garage?
« on: March 12, 2005, 11:42:34 AM »

Generally our bikes are very pampered and are not exposed to bad weather,
other than what we ride in. However, Mr WeCVO just bought a new cover
for his bike, since it is going to sit outside in what in generally a very wet
climate for seven weeks. The cover he got was the "Bike Shield" http://www.customchrome.com/catalogs/ccp/1315.html Bike Cover
from Custom Chrome.

Very impressive. How small is it when it's folded up?

That cover looks impressive Mrs. We.  Only thing I'd be concerned about is if it is too waterproof.  If the lining and outer shell isn't breathable it'll be like closing the bike up in a cold sauna if things are already a damp at all.  Any moisture that's already inside on the surfaces won't be allowed to evaporate away.  Hopefully the covers allows the inside to breathe a bit.  I just didn't see it mentioned in the brochure.

reo, twolane, not small nor an insignicant weight. I followed Mr to Alabama in the cage, so size and weight were not considerations. This is definately NOT what I would call a mobile cover. The box it came in was approx; 20" wide, 10" tall, 10" deep. And my guess at weight is approx; 15 lbs.  Because he can bring it up to his room when he leaves his parking area, it is no problem for this application.  We met a person who parked his "custom chopper" in it in the garage, as his garage was in a low lying area and would sometimes flood, and this bag protected his bike.  They give you bags of some moisture sucking material that is supposed to remove any condensation that you brought in with you. or is generated inside of bag.  So far, seems pretty good.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I have the 05  SEEG cover and it's never been out of the bag.

Also a regular dresser H/D cover that has only been used 3 times.

Have a CHEEPO nylon non-descript cover that I use when traveling......fits both of my bikes.  Only good for keeping salt air at beach, blowing sand, prying eyes, etc off 'cause it's not waterproof.  Use no cover on either bike while in the garage...I love looking at 'em too much to cover 'em up.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
