New Headlight
« on: March 15, 2005, 01:12:43 AM »

HD part # 67864-04.  New headlight (at least new to me).  Anyone seen one in person yet?

I think I actually prefer the look of the 05 look better.  Wondering if these projector lamps actually will shoot down the road any better/farther in real life?

I think the lamp has a better chance if it came with a clear lens on it.  It won't break up the light as much.  That's why I switched to a clear lens.   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I've seen one on a  2002 black heritage. i asked the guy how it was and he says the light beam is spread out wider  unlike the spot-light type light he had before. he also said he was happy with it..

I'm probably not changing.  Like the looks of the original.  It works

Twolane,
are the Aux lights on your SEEG matching to the factory headlamp or are they the clear lens halogen lamp without the verticle reflector..I'm wanting to get the ones with the verticle reflector lines. and was wondering how much brighter they would be ,,if at all brighter.

I have seen that light on a bike...it has a clear lens and it is bright...owner said it has a good pattern. He likes it better than the stock one on his 02 E-Glide. I'm happy with what I got...as was said..."if it ain't broke..." besides its $165 I can put towards a go faster part. [smiley=laugh.gif]

Just got a new catalogue from H-D..spring supplement...pg 130 shows a comparison of lighting patterns. They used a 7 inch sealed beam, not the light on the SEEG..for info.

Bet it looks great with those silver and black bikes.  Are you pleased with the illumination pattern? [smiley=blank.gif]

I have the new headlight and the spot lights with the optics that match the 05 stock headlight and the new two bulb that I added. Attaching a couple of pix, one of lights and another that you may spot new mods since last pix.
