Splitfires on an EVO?
« on: April 07, 2005, 08:32:52 AM »

Ok..

seeing as we're getting tech help. I'd love to know if using splitfires on my FXR3 EVO motor will cause it to run rough.

I've had some friends tell me that it might cause it to run rough because there will be too much spark for the air/fuel mixture.

Should I just go with theHarley recommended plugs...or are splitfires the way?

The splitfires only run rough when they are loading up with carbon or the electrodes are not all equidistant which causes reduced spark.  Your ability to install either being the same, you have to weigh the costs.  What are your other concerns?

I ran the Sceamn Eagle plugs in my evo and those are split fire plugs.  Never had any problems. (evo w/stage2)
