Passenger Leg Risers
« on: April 09, 2005, 05:24:32 PM »

Anyone have these on their scooter? Looks like a well made product and it would match the levers currently on my bike. If you have them, does the passenger like/use them or not really? Also, does it interfere with your legs when backing up the bike? Thanks.

I had these on a past bike and did not care for them. They got in the way unless you had them folded back. My wife did not car for the raised height either. If your passenger has short legs they may be benificial, just remember turn them out of the way before walking the bike.

I had the ones like eglide shows, my wife likes them. She said before her leg and foot would try to fall asleep and with these she was able to shift some of the pressure points. Even helped her backside. [smiley=laugh.gif] It has several positions that lock in. And as hd-dude has mentioned, watch out when you walk bike. The passenger floor boards do me the same way so I'm watching when ever I have a passenger.

You need to know that you would have to change out the floorboard brackets because the ones on SEEG are narrower. There was a thread out on that. I waited and bought a set when there was 25% off. I got these http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441988559&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302293039&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302293039&bmUID=1113085352957&bmLocale=en_US

I have the opposite problem - my wife thinks the floorboards are to high! Any ideas on lowering and moving forward?
Thanks - this is a great site!

I think there are two sets of mounting holes for the passenger boards on all late model electra glides.  There's a plastic plug in the second set of holes.  Depending on which set yours are in, you may be able to lower them about 3/4 inch.
